William "Billy" Homer Beasley Jr., age 80, met his Lord and Savior on December 23, 2024. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Seth Ward Baptist Church in Plainview, Texas with Rev. Robert Malcolm, Officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home and Prairie View Crematory of Plainview.
William "Billy" Homer Beasley Jr., age 80, met his Lord and Savior on December 23, 2024. Billy enjoyed storytelling and had a passion for music. He released a record in 1981 and played in various bands over the years. Throughout his working years, he balanced careers as a welder and a musician. He began working for The Fans in April of 1967 and became the owner as of January 1, 1976. Billy retired in 2016. He liked watching football on TV, supporting the Cowboys and Texas Longhorns as they were his favorite teams. He cherished visiting with friends and spending time with family. Billy celebrated 30 years of sobriety through the South Plains AA organization, with his sobriety date being September 1, 1994. He was a lifelong member of Seth Ward Baptist Church, which he attended throughout his life.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Mozelle and William Beasley Sr.; his wife, Brenda Joy Beasley; his son, Larry Beasley; his sister Pat Kidd
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Dusty Rankin of Plainview, TX, Sheila and husband Tory Thrasher of Plainview, TX, Trey and wife Denise Beasley of Lubbock, TX, Cristal and husband James Bench of Plainview, TX; his sisters, Janie Ritter of Tye, TX, Evelyn and husband Michael Carroll of Plainview, TX; his brother, Stan and wife Cecilia of Plainview, TX; 18 Grandchildren and 37 Great- grandchildren; plus a host of nieces and nephews.
