It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wanda Gale Sansom, 65, on February 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A visitation/wake will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bartley Memorial Chapel, Plainview, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home.
Wanda was born to Richard Young and Barbara Nell Cofer in Plainview, Texas on April 28, 1959.
Wanda will be remembered as a very Godly woman who always talked about Jesus. She was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, and sister. She treated everyone she met with kindness and was known for being a giver and a problem solver. Wanda was lots of fun and had a great sense of humor.
She was a dedicated basketball and football fan and loved watching the games on TV. She took pride in cooking and bringing everyone together, creating cherished memories filled with laughter. Her strong bond with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was undeniable, and her passion for gardening reflected her nurturing spirit.
Wanda is preceded in death by her father, Richard Young; her grandmother, Bennie Howard; and her grandfather Noral Cofer.
Those left to cherish her memories are her mother, Barbara Nell Cofer of Arlington, TX; two daughters, Atasha Brown of Plainview and Krystal Sansom of Lubbock; her grandchildren, Prenston Thomas, T'Quira Brown, Jaibron Finch and Kingston Sansom; her great-grandchildren, Za'Vren Thomas, Paris Thomas, Jaidence Thomas, her brother and sisters, Rita Young of Fort Worth, TX, Brenda Wooley of Irving, TX, Angela Young of Seattle, WA, Randy Malone of Arlington, TX, Bennie Malone of Lewisville, TX, and Elizabeth Malone of Omaha, NE. Plus numerous nieces and nephews.
