Funeral services for Virginia Chapa Villarreal, 76 of Plainview will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Virginia passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Plainview. She was born in Odem, Texas to Christobal and Esperanza Chapa. She married Guadalupe Villarreal on April 25, 1959 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She is survived by 5 daughters, Norma Espinoza and husband Jesse of Garland, Texas, Hilda Paredes and husband Nacho of Terrell, Texas, Christine Pena and husband Ronnie of Amarillo, Texas, Helen Villarreal and Curtis Travis of Odessa, Texas and Nora Deleon and husband Fred of Plainview; 2 sons, Guadalupe Villarreal III and fiance Dora Mendez of Tulia and Danny Villarreal and wife Mary of Dallas; 2 sisters, Olga Sarabia and Viola Esquivel; 9 brothers, Ruben "Bill" Chapa, Alfredo "Sonny" Chapa, Albert Chapa, Robert "Beto" Chapa, George Chapa, Tony Chapa, Christobal Chapa, Mike Chapa and Jeff Chapa; 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband and both parents.
