Graveside services for Vanessa Gay Rivers, 60 of Plainview will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 30 in Parklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Ms. Rivers died Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in Lubbock. She was born December 23, 1955 in Plainview, Texas to Vincent and Cleora Brittian. She was an LVN for several local nursing homes. Vanessa is survived by 3 sons, Robert Burt and wife Jami of Lubbock, Chris Burt and wife Dawn of Norwood, MO and Matthew Alderson of Alabama; 2 daughters, Amanda Burt of Plainview and Jessica Alderson of Lawton, OK; 1 brother, Mac McClenan and wife Melissa of Abilene and 1 sister, Nedra Moore and husband Bill of Eastland, TX. She is preceded in death by both parents, 2 brothers and a daughter, Laura Alderson.
