Tommy Sidney Thomas was born in Orange County California on December 24, 1969 to Tom Lee Thomas and Nancy Louise Hood. He departed this world to his heavenly home on Monday December 13, 2021 at the age of 51. Tommy passed peacefully with his family by his side.
Tommy grew up in Richardson, Tx. Tommy spent the last 25 years in Lubbock/ Plainview. He was a man of many traits. He started off being a maintenance man on apartments. Then cleaning carpet. He spent many of his last years laying just about every kind of flooring. He worked for Kings carpeting for many years. For the past 10 years he was in charge of maintenance for Eastwood Properties in Tulia Tx. As well as working on many We Custom Homes, parade homes in Lubbock. Tommy enjoyed working and poured his heart and soul into his work. He worked many many hours to provide. He was a provider.
If you ask anyone who knew Tommy you would get the same answer: he was an amazing person. Tommy was one of a kind. He was known for his big heart and big smile. He's best described by friends and family as being funny. He would do anything for a good laugh and he could make you laugh even when you were mad at him. He often said: "as long as I can still make you laugh I know I'm doing good." He was warm, friendly, and loving. He was always generous with his time and friendship. He was loved and admired by everyone he met and never knew a stranger. Tommy made everyone he encountered feel welcome, important and special. He was the best father anyone could ask for.
Tommy enjoyed spending time with family, cooking on the grill, taking trips with his fiancé and fishing trips with friends. But his greatest joy was enjoying time spent with his family and many grandchildren. He loved fiercely and deeply and we take comfort in knowing that Tommy is with our Lord.
