She was born on May 31, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her parents, Bob and Marie Bartley, raised Sheryl and her two brothers in Lubbock, Texas where she graduated from Lubbock High School in 1967. She then went on to lead a life full of self-sacrifice, hard work and great accomplishments, living in New Mexico, Germany, Virginia, West Virginia, Arizona, Indiana and finally to return to Lubbock.
She is survived by her son Greg Snowden, daughter Rebecca Lovejoy and partner Mathieu, two grandchildren Olivin and Polia Lovejoy, two brothers Kevin and Thad Bartley, as well as nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, and her canine soulmate Red.
She is preceded in death by her parents and past canine soulmates Wolfie and Kali.
Due to the pandemic, a formal memorial service may be explored at a future date when people can safely assemble. In the meantime, we invite individuals to memorialize her in alternate ways most meaningful to them. For more information, you may contact
