Shante Lashell Kovacs, 24, passed away on December 4, 2024, in Plainview, Texas. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home, Plainview, Texas.

Shante was born on January 25, 2000, in Amarillo, Texas, to Nathaniel "Nate" Wallace and Michelle Kovacs.

Shante loved music and enjoyed reading and writing songs. She had a special talent for singing, which she showcased by performing in choir concerts and at home. In addition to her vocal skills, she played multiple instruments. Shante adored dogs and loved doing her makeup. Always wearing a smile, she had a happy and positive attitude that her family referred to as "spreading her sprinkles." She frequently gave compliments and loved others unconditionally. Selfless and always willing to help anyone in need, Shante had a beautiful soul and cherished her"Papi."

Those left to cherish her memories are her sister, Markesha Dean Bronner, along with many family members and friends.

Shante was preceded in death by her mother, Michelle Kovacs; her grandmother, Sharon Kovacs; two sisters, Lenesha Wallace and Melissa Kovacs; and one brother, Kevon Hunley.
