Saul Garza, 77, passed away on October 16, 2023, in Petersburg, Tx. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 20, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Bartley Memorial Chapel Plainview, Texas. A Rosary Service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Bartley Memorial Chapel with Rev. George Poonely, Officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Bartley Funeral Home, Plainview, Texas.

Born on August 9, 1946, in Premont, TX, Saul was the son of Gilbert and Esperanza Garza. He married the love of his life, Francisa on January 23, 1966 in Hale County. They were married for 45 years before her passing in 2011. He was an avid cowboy and cattleman working in the local feed lots for over 20 years. He enjoyed music and watching western shows in his spare time. He also spent a lot of time with his nieces and nephews, treating them as his own.

Families condolences: Tio Saul will be remembered for always having a smile on his face when we would go visit him, his loving generous heart, his thoughtfulness of others he always helped out anyone and everyone whether he knew them or not, Tio Saul was a funny guy and he loved watching his western shows and the love he had for his family was unmeasurable.

Saul is survived by his three brothers, Leandro Garza of Lubbock, Lorenzo Garza and wife Rosa, of Idalou and Gabriel Garza and wife Shelly of Corpus Christi.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Francisa Garza, his parents, Gilbert and Esperanza Garza and his brothers, Roel (Roy) Garza and Joe H Garza.
