Funeral mass for Sara Rodriguez, 55 of Plainview will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at The Church of The Holy Spirit in Tulia, Texas with Father Marco Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Sara died Friday, May 15 in Plainview. She was born August 21, 1959 in Tulia, Texas to Francisco and Abelina Garcia. She married Leonard Rodriguez on January 29, 1977 in Plainview. She is survived by her husband, Leonard of Plainview; 4 sons, Abraam Rodriguez, Alvin Rodriguez and Terasa Leatherwood, Leonard and Aussiria Rodriguez, Jr. and Noel Rodriguez all of Plainview; 2 daughters, Eva Rodriguez and Elvia Rodriguez and Joe Gonzales both of Plainview; 3 brothers, Joe and Lela Garcia of Amarillo, Alfredo and Ofelia Garcia of Tulia and Frank and Maria Garcia of Kress; 2 sisters, Josie and Ruben Gonzales of Tulia and Olivia Chapa of Plainview and 24 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by both parents; 1 grandson, Alvin Rodriguez, Jr. and 1 sister, Connie Ramirez.
