It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra White on February 12, 2026, in Grand Prairie, TX. A Wake will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Bartley Memorial Chapel in Plainview, TX. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Plainview, TX, under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview, TX. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery in Plainview, TX.
Sandra White was born on January 20, 1972, in Plainview, Texas, to Carolyn White and Charles White. She departed this life peacefully in her sleep on February 12, 2026.
Sandra was a strong and determined woman whose resilience carried her through life's many challenges. In her early adult years, she welcomed her two beloved sons, Derrick White and Terrick Medlock (Jorden), with Terry Medlock. Her first job was at Exel Beef Packing in Plainview, Texas. She later worked in the fields and in farm labor alongside her late boyfriend, affectionately known as "Mr. T."
Sandra had a love for traveling that began in childhood with a memorable trip to Disneyland in California. Later in life, she moved from Plainview, Texas, to Dallas, Texas, and often commuted between Texas and California while she was dating her late partner Willie. Sandra was truly a warrior—she faced life's toughest battles with courage and never gave up.
Nothing brought Sandra more joy than her grandchildren: Izabel, Derrick Jr., Terrick Jr., Aniyah, and Janiyah. They meant the world to her and were the light of her life. Sandra was known for her warm spirit and love for others. On a hot summer day, you could often find her outside grilling or sitting and chatting with family and friends. She was well known and loved by the staff and patients at the Grand Prairie Dialysis Center, where she attended for over eight years.
Sandra leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Derrick White and Terrick Medlock (Jorden medlock); her siblings, Janice White, Darla White, Charles White (LeChandra), Anthony Medlock, and Mary Lambert; her beloved grandchildren, Izabel, Derrick Jr., Terrick Jr., Aniyah, Janiyah, and Jalen ; her uncles, Joe Turner and Robert Turner; her aunt, Jean; and her nieces and nephews Demon,Arion, kimberlyn, Triana, Antavyia, Alesia, Zyon,Charleston, Jaylin, Chayzton, and keylaunie a host of other nieces and nephews, as well as family, friends, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Emma and Johnny Turner; her parents, Carolyn White and Charles White; her brother, Jessicoe Smith; her aunts, Billie Roy, Martha Turner, Nina Turner, and Maggie Landrum; her cousin, Robbin Ollison; the father of her children, Terry Medlock; and her nephew, Jacob Ybarra and sister in law Maria Medlock.
Sandra's strength, love, and unforgettable presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
