Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ruiz Anthony Pardo, 28, on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. A Rosary will be held at Bartley Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 6:00 PM, with a visitation to follow until 8:00 PM.  A Funeral mass will be held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center, TX on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with Father Alex Amburose Officiating.  Interment will follow at Hale Center Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview, TX.

Ruiz was born on March 12, 1997, in Plainview, TX to Michael Pardo and Nicole Tapp.

Ruiz was the heart of his family, always willing to go above and beyond for those he loved. Every moment with his beloved son, Rae Rae, was precious to him, and his devotion to his brothers was unwavering. He brought joy to every barbecue and family gathering, making memories that will last forever. Renowned for his generosity and infectious sense of humor, Ruiz had a unique ability to lift the spirits of everyone around him. His absence leaves an irreplaceable void, and the love he shared will never be forgotten by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Ruiz is preceded by his grandmother, Mary Pardo; grandparents, Gary and Romona (Hopper) Tapp and his three uncles, Trinidad Pardo, Jr, David Pardo, and Ernest Pardo.

Those left to cherish Ruiz' memory are his son, Rae "Rae Rae" Anthony Pardo of Plainview; his father, Michael Pardo Sr. of Hale Center; his mother, Nicole L. Tapp of Arlington; his grandfather, Trinidad Pardo, Sr. of Hale Center; his sister, Abigil "Abby" Jones of Arlington; his brothers, Michael Ray Pardo Jr. of Hale Center, Justice Fabian Pardo of Hale Center, Elijah Jones of Arlington; his aunts, Olivia Pardo of Grand Prairie, Linda Pardo of Hale Center, and Barbra Tapp of Kansas; his uncles, Johnny Pardo of Hale Center, James Pardo of Glenn Heights, and Gary Tapp of Kansas; his nephews Mikhail "Flaco" and Maximus. Plus, numerous nieces and nephews.
