Rosalie Bernard, 84, of Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico, Lincoln County, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Rose was born to Percy and Violet Loup on October 4, 1939, in Zeigler, Illinois. Rose married Fred Bernard on June 28, 1958 in Carlsbad, NM. Fred was a New Mexico State Trooper and a Municipal Judge. Rose worked as a secretary in administration for Ruidoso Septic, an independent bookkeeper, and did taxes.

Rose enjoyed collecting anything old and loved exploring the beautiful outdoors of Lincoln County. She especially adored the pine-tree covered hills, significant views, and the fresh mountain air.

Rose leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Terry Bernard of Ruidoso Downs, NM, Lisa Bernard of Ruidoso Downs, NM, her grandchildren, Tee Bernard of Ruidoso Downs, NM, Sara Cummins of Ruidoso Downs, NM, and one great grandchild Cedar Rosalie of Ruidoso Downs, NM.

Rose is proceeded in death by her husband Fred Bernard, and her parents, Percy and Violet Loup

The family will celebrate her life in private during the holidays.
