Rogelio Rivera Sr., 68, of Plainview, passed away on April 18, 2022. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Bartley Memorial Chapel with Father George Poonely officiating. A rosary will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.

Rogelio was born on August 15, 1953, in Mercedes, Texas to Francisca Adame and Jesus Rivera. On October 30, 1976, he married his wife, Sarah Aguilar.

He is survived by his wife; Sarah Rivera of Plainview, TX, mother; Francisca Adame of Elsa, TX, a son; Samuel A. Rivera and wife, Julie, of Plainview, TX, his daughter; Leonor Cansino and husband, George Jr., of Houston, TX, grandchildren; Damian Rivera and wife, Jocelyn of Houston, TX, Alyssa Lyric Rivera of Kingstown, TN, and Tyler Rivera of Plainview, TX, siblings; Elosia and Joe Rangel of Weslaco, TX, Lile (late Manuel) Cabrerra of Belle Glade, FL, Zulema Rivera of Edinburg, TX, Velma and Luis Alvarado of Plainview, TX, Rebecca and Hector Montalvo of Edcouch, TX, Marisela and Arnold Galvan of McAllen, TX, Reynaldo Rivera of Houston, TX, Rina Rivera of Round Rock, TX, and Aaron Rivera of Round Rock, TX. And a hose of nieces and nephews.

Rogelio is proceeded in death by his father; Jesus Rivera and his son; Rogelio "Gordy" Rivera Jr.
