Funeral Mass for Deacon Roberto Gonzalez, 85 of Hart, Texas will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church in Hart with Monsignor Waldo and Father Raj officiating. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Mr. Gonzalez died Saturday, May 10, 2014. He was born on September 17, 1928 in Mexico to Lusiano and Luz Gonzalez. He married Beatrice Reyna on May 12, 1950 in Mission, Texas. He lived in Hart, Texas for 61 years and was a Deacon at St. John's Catholic Church in Hart for over 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Gonzalez of Hart; 1 daughter, Yolanda Capelo and husband Dr. Mel Capelo of Pasadena; 2 sisters, Consuelo Fuentes of California and Alicia Pena of Mission, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Chelsea Capelo of Houston and Brandon Capelo of Friendswood, Texas. He is preceded in death by 1 son, Robert Anthony Gonzalez.
