Church Services for Robert L. Smith, 56, of Hale Center will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Hale Center. Interment will follow at Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home in Plainview. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Mr. Smith passed from this life on October 24, 2017 in Plainview.

Robert "Catman" Smith was born to Jo Ann Smith Wade on February 18, 1961 in Plainview. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. Eddie Smith Sr., and Mrs. Atlee Smith. His uncle Eddie Smith Jr., and his aunt Blonzie Mae Brown. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, one brother, Mr. DeWayne Wade of Killeen, Tx. Four sisters; Ms. Thelma Wade of Plainview, Tx., Mrs. Sandra Willis of Denton, Tx., Ms. Sharon Wade of Hurst, Tx., and Ms. LaNesa Wade of Denton, Tx. Two uncles; Mr. T.C. Smith of Waco, Tx., and Mr. Benny Smith of Killeen, Tx. Three aunts; Ms. Ella Hager of Little Elm, Tx., Mrs. Edna Davis of Abilene, Tx., and Mrs. Mary Lee Jones of Wichita Falls, Tx. Also an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
