Memorial services for Robert "Bobby" Alan Nichols, 59 of Lubbock will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 19, 2012 at Agape United Methodist Church in Lubbock with Dr. Don Holladay officiating. Services are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Bobby passed away on Monday June 11, 2012 in Lubbock. Bobby was born on January 4, 1953. The son of E. Nelson and Jean Nichols. Bobby married Ruth Mangum Burleson on July 23, 2005 in Lockney, Texas. Bobby was a graduate of Monterey High School and Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. He served in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1976. Bobby worked 30 years in the Funeral Industry in the State of Texas. Survivors include, His Wife, Ruth Nichols of Lubbock; His Mother, Jean Nichols of Lubbock; 2 Sons, Rob Nichols and wife Jennifer of Waxahachie, Texas and Tim Nichols of Wichita Falls, Texas; 2 Step-Daughters, Julie James and husband Donny of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Jennifer Timms and husband Shane of Lovington, N.M.; 7 Grandchildren, Brodie and Carson Nichols of Waxahachie, Texas, Hayden James and Dustin James and wife Lauren of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Skye, Jayden and Zackery Timms of Lovington, N.M. and 1 Great Granddaughter, Brantley Nicole James of Bella Vista, Arkansas.
