It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rickey Wayne Watson, 57, on February 7, 2025, in Plainview, TX. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Bar-None Rodeo in Plainview, TX. Cremation arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home and Prairie View Crematory of Plainview, TX.

Rickey Watson was born in Plainview, TX, on January 10, 1968, to Richard and Penny Watson.

Rickey possessed a profound passion for the open road and the thrill of riding motorcycles. His love for horses was also very evident to all that knew him. Formerly an employee at the sheriff's office, he was not only respected for his professional abilities but also for his servant's heart. With a deep love for the Lord, Rickey's unwavering faith and compassion for others made a remarkable impact on everyone around him.

Rickey is preceded in death by his grand- parents, RW and Willie Watson, and DW and Bonnie Nickel.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Richard W. Watson and Penny J. Watson of Plainview, TX; his children, Rex Wayne Watson of Springer, NM, and Shannon Duckwall of Azle, TX; one grand-daughter, Greyson Loy Duckwall of Azle, TX; and his sister, Liana Watson of Plainview, TX.
