Robert Calvin (RC) Stevens, 92, of Plainview, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February, 2, 2022.  Services will be held in Plainview at Garland Street church of Christ on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton, TX.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2022 at Bartley Funeral Home.

RC was born on June 28, 1929 in Slaton, Texas to Joe Bob and Vera Stevens.  He attended school in Slaton, TX and then Abilene Christian College in Abilene, Texas where he met his future wife, Fae Crawford.  They were married on August 9, 1948 in Abilene, Texas.  They lived in Slaton and Pecos, Texas before moving to Plainview in 1952, working for Paymaster Oil Mills.  Later, he owned and operated Plainview Gin Co. in the 1950's – 1960's.  Beginning In 1968 he owned and operated "Big T Trucking" and then went on to work for and retire from Jack Morris Ford in Plainview.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joe Bob Stevens and Vera Stevens Meester, his wife Fae Stevens and two brothers, Joe Stevens and Gordon Stevens.

He is survived by sons James David Stevens and wife Cindy of Abilene, TX, Robert A Stevens and wife Robbie of Justiceburg, TX, Thomas Lee Stevens and wife Shirley of Lubbock, TX and daughter Terri Vaughan and husband Dee of Dumas, TX.

Granddaughters Monica Murrell and husband David of Dallas, TX with children Jackson and Hayes Murrell, Heather Johnson and husband Russell of Lubbock, TX with child Carter Smith, Kimberley Rister and husband Matt of Friendswood, TX with children Matti, Gunner and Boen Rister, Misty Earl and husband Jason of Lubbock, TX with child Morgan Jones, Jana McElroy and husband B.J. of Houston, TX, with children Beckett and Berkeley McElroy, Keisha Vaughan of Denver, CO, and Lyndi Garwood and husband Judson of Austin, TX.

Grandsons Jarod Stevens and wife Andrea of Tyler, TX with children Rachael and Connor Stevens, Michael Hamilton of Garland, TX, Mark Hamilton and wife Delissa of Haslet, TX with child Mark Hamilton, Jr., Troy Stevens and wife Michelle of Temple, TX with children Paul and Noah Stevens, Ryan Stevens and Whitney Clements of Lubbock, TX, Aaron Stevens of Lubbock, TX, and Travis Stevens and wife Sonya of Perry, OK with children Taylor, Kylie and Sophie Stevens.
