Rayde "Fred" Polk, 72, passed from this life on November 6, 2020. Services have been scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Bartley Memorial Chapel at 12:00 p.m.

Fred Polk was born to Alfred and Emma Jane Rose Polk on February 16, 1948 in Waco, Texas where he grew up. He graduated from Carver High School and then attended Prairie View A&M. After he enlisted into the Army. He was known as a kind, gentle and quiet man. He enjoyed fishing and watching his favorite team, The Dallas Cowboys.

Those left to cherish Fred's memory is his daughters; Sharon Lawrence of Waco, Texas and Sharazon Frost of Smithfield, North Carolina, brothers; Jack "J.J." Johnson and wife, Lorene, of Plainview and Alfred Polk of Waco, Texas, and a sister; Doris Polk of Waco, Texas. He will also be remembered by a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents; Alfred and Emma Jane Rose Polk, a brother; Marshall Polk, and a sister; Patricia Ann Jackson.
