Ramon Flores, 62, passed away on December 18, 2023, surrounded by his family. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Bartley Memorial Chapel with Pastor Byron Potter, Officiating. Burial will follow at Hale Center Cemetery in Hale Center. Funeral services are under the care of Bartley Funeral Home.
He was born on January 30, 1961, to Alfredo and Simona Flores in Hale Center, Hale County, Texas.
Ramon was a devout farmer and worked in the agricultural field even at an early age. Ramon loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, and was a great uncle. He loved to woodwork crafting, cooking out, listening to Tejano music, he loved to listen to Chaclino Sanchez. He also liked to landscape. He was always joking around and loved his two dogs, Scooby and Scrappy, they held a special place in his heart.
Those left to cherish Ramon's memory are his spouse, Sherry Kelso, his ex-wife, Terry Flores, his children, Ramon and wife Desiree Flores, of Apache Junction, AZ, Eliza Flores and Benjamin Villeneua of Hobbs, NM, Betty Jo and husband Radar Garcia of Spearman, TX, Maximino "Max" and wife Alyssa Collier Flores of Mesa, AZ, Justin Ray and wife Idenia Flores of Plainview, TX, Raymond Ruiz and wife Alexandra Flores of Lubbock, TX, Demus Lee and wife, Banessa Estrada Flores of Corpus Christi, TX, Rocky Lee Flores of Plainview, TX, and Noel David Flores of Plainview, TX, his sisters, Sylvia and husband Noe Guerrero of Hale Center, TX, Teresa Gerhart and husband Manuel Rendon of Floydada, TX, Rosa and husband Lupe Vargas of Plainview, TX, Betrice Estrada of Lubbock, TX, Lupe Ortegon of Hale Center, TX, Catalina Quintero of Waxahachie, TX, Carolina Flores of Fort Worth, TX, his brothers, Paul Flores of Dimmitt, TX and Juan Flores. He has 33 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Ramon is preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Simona Flores, his sister, Anita Castillo, and two brothers Joe Angle Flores and Alfredo "Blackie" Flores.
