Rafaela (Lita) Marroquin Lopez, age 67, of Plainview, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022.  She was born in Olton, Texas, on January 3, 1955 to her parents, Erineo and Maria Matilde Marroquin.  She attended school in Olton, Texas.  She was joined in matrimony with Ricardo Garza in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1972 and were blessed with a son. She was joined in matrimony with Willie Lopez in Plainview, Texas in 1980, and was blessed with a son and daughter.

Rafaela was a beloved mom and grandmother who worked 24 years at Wal-Mart Distribution and retired in 2009. Rafaela was a member of United Baptist Church in Plainview, Texas.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, listening to Christian music, reading her bible and watching 700 Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Benito Marroquin.  She is survived by her son Ricky Garza; son, Eric Lopez; daughter, Natalie Lopez; sister, Ruth Marroquin Garcia; brother, Rudolfo Marroquin; sister, Rita Marroquin Saldivar; brother, Jose Roberto Marroquin; sister, Lydia Marroquin Davila, brother, Erineo Marroquin Jr; and sister Rosalinda Marroquin Meredith; 6 grandsons, Anthony Gomez, Jonathan and Christopher Garza and Isaac Raphael Lopez, Anthony and Atom Valenzuela; 2 granddaughters, Naomi and Leah Garza; several uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

A viewing will be held Sunday, February 13 ^th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  The Funeral service will be held Monday, February 14 ^th at 11 a.m., both at Bartley Funeral Home.
