Pedro Vasquez Jr., 63, of Plainview, left this earthly world and entered heaven's gates on October 22, 2022. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Bartley Memorial Chapel with Father Jeremy Trull officiating.  Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.

Pedro was born on August 2, 1959, in Slaton, TX to Pedro Vasquez Sr. and Angelita Vasquez. He grew up in Plainview where he graduated from PHS in 1978. Pedro enjoyed and was a loyal fan of The Dallas Cowboys. He also loved his furry companion, Paloma, who will miss him dearly.

Pedro will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend.

Those left to cherish his memory is his mother; Angelita Vasquez of Plainview, his children; Pedro Cruz Vasquez and wife, Audrie, of Plainview, Lucinda Rivas of Clovis, NM, and Cecilia Scott and husband, William, of Tyler, TX, sisters; Sylvia Lopez and husband, Ruben, of Plainview and Angie Serna and husband, Fermin, of Plainview, a brother; Cruz Vasquez and wife, Maria, of Plainview. Pedro was blessed with four grandchildren and one great-grandchild: Isaac Caleb Vasquez, Christian Jose Rivas, Carmen V. Rivas, Cydney Howard, and Nevaeh Glenn.

Pedro is preceded in death by his father; Pedro Vasquez Sr., and a sister; Sanjuana Vasquez.
