Pearl Dickey Jones went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. She found peace with the thought of dying, often saying, "When the time comes, it comes, and I am ready." Pearl's remains will later be interred at her family's plots in Snyder Cemetery, Snyder, TX.

Born on April 10, 1943, in Snyder, TX, Pearl was the first twin, arriving four minutes before her brother, Earl. Originally, the twins were named Johnie Pearl and Jordan Earl, but due to a fire at the courthouse in Snyder, all records were lost, and the first names were dropped. Pearl cherished her family and often went out of her way to spoil them, especially by taking the kids out for ice cream. She had a dry sense of humor and enjoyed reading, playing card games, and computer games.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, Jordan Dee and Laura Bell (Rogers) Dickey; her husband, Raymond Jones; her sisters, Bonnita Fanning, Georgia Dale Smith, and Curtisine "Chris" Bentley; her twin brother, Earl Dickey; and her daughter, Pat.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Timothy "Tim" Jones of East Texas, Sue Knotts of Odessa, TX, and Sharon Ohlendorf of Hutto, TX, along with her nephew, Kenneth Dickey of Plainview, TX.  Plus, numerous grandkids, nieces, and nephews.
