A funeral service for Paul Richard Cook, of Plainview, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Colonial Baptist Church with Robert Malcom officiating and Roger Foote assisting. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Cook passed from this life on September 15, 2018 in Plainview surrounded by family.

Richard was born on February 23, 1946 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Mac and Anna (Burton) Cook. He graduated from Plainview High School and attended Arlington Baptist College. Mr. Cook served our country for 3 years and was an honored Vietnam Veteran. He worked for Newton Trucking and also delivered for Bell Dairy.  Richard married Maxine on June 3, 1994 in Plainview.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife; Maxine Cook, his children; Chad Cook and wife Katie of Lockney, Cindy Callaham and husband Greg of Ropes, TX, Michelle White and husband Dion of Early, TX, Sharon Hunt and husband Rodney of Lubbock, and Deanne Milford with husband Chris of Lubbock. Nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His sister; Karen Nabb of Plainview and brothers; James Cook of Plainview and David Cook of Austin.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Mac and Anna Cook.
