Memorial services for Pat Williams, 89 of Lubbock and formerly of Plainview will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 16, 2022, in Redbud Baptist Church (801 Slide Road, Lubbock) with Pastor Carlos Hinojos officiating. The family will be gathered at 10 a.m. before the service to greet friends and family. Services are under the care of Bartley Funeral Home and Prairie View Crematory.
Patricia Ann Smith was born August 21, 1932, in Bonham, TX to the late Arthur and Blanche Smith. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1948 and graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a degree in English in 1953. She played for and was manager for the Flying Queens team during her time at Wayland. She married Leon Williams on August 25, 1956, in Lubbock, Texas. She taught English in numerous schools spanning her 24 year-long career as an educator. She moved wherever her husband's Pastorate called them to be, and always managed to bloom wherever God planted their family. She had a delightfully curious mind and enjoyed reading and expanding her mind. She lived her life to the fullest. She was active in church and taught Sunday School, most recently with her Redbud Baptist family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leon Williams; daughter, Linda Moore; son in law, Elbert Moore Jr; grandchildren, Glindon Moore III and Kirk Moore.
She is survived by her son, Mike Williams and wife Stephanie of Chesapeake, VA; daughter Karla Pruitt and husband Mark of Lubbock, TX; brother, Ron (Emmalyn) Smith of Melbourne, FL; by grandchildren, Jason (Stacey) Moore, Ginger (Scott) Riley, Courtney Leggett, Caitlin (Milthon) Plascencia, Connor (Hayley) Williams , Nick (Amelie) Pruitt, Andrew (Stacey) Pruitt, Bethanie (Micah) Hankins, Daniel (Reagan) Pruitt, Lydia Pruitt, great grandchildren; Zachary (Hayley) Moore, Kellan Moore, Blake (Emily) Riley, Anah Riley, Blair (Amelia) Riley, Alex Riley, Aiden Riley, Georgia Plascencia, Emmett Pruitt, Eloise Hankins, Nebby Hankins; great-great grandchildren; Lilly Moore and Maddox Riley. Patricia was blessed with an abundant amount of nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
