Patricia "Patty" Joyce Keffer, 81 years old passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014 in The Woodlands, TX. Family and friends find comfort in knowing Pat is now in heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at First Christian Church with Dr. Max Browning officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Patricia was born in Amarillo, Texas on May 4, 1932 to Jerry and Elizabeth Webb Malin. Patricia attended Amarillo High School and Draughn's Business College. Patricia married Thurman Lee Keffer on August 7, 1949 in Amarillo, Texas. Patricia was gifted in many areas. Pat was an accomplished artist, exceptional poet, and played various musical instruments, including piano, accordion, mandolin, and guitar. Patricia's greatest gift was the gift of Christ-like, unconditional and genuine love that was evident to everyone who met her.
Patricia is survived by her son, Dan and wife Susan of The Woodlands, TX and daughter, Janis Keffer Davis of Plainview. Grandchildren include: Ricky Tyler (Melinda), great grandchildren Kace, Joshua, and Zane. Chris Tyler (Melinda), great grandson, Chandler. Krystle Keffer Smith (Josh) and great grandchildren, Kiyah, Kambry, and Jase. Grandson, Myles Keffer.
Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Colleen Keffer Mottino (Ron) of Vista California, 12 nieces and nephews and 5 cousins. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Elizabeth Malin, her sister, Joann Jarrett and her brother, Larry Malin. Patricia's husband, Thurman, passed away on October 5, 2011.
