Funeral services for Deacon O.C. Marshall, 97 of Plainview will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Happy Union Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Marshall died Saturday, March 22, 2014 in Plainview. He was born on February 2, 1917 in Paris, Texas to Willis and Mariah Marshall. He married Nannie Lee Lipscomb on July 19, 1941 in Greenville, Texas. She died May 6, 2007. He farmed all of his life and was a deacon at Happy Union Baptist Church. He is survived by 1 son, Eugene Marshall of Oklahoma City; 4 daughters, Emma Herring and husband Fred of Plainview, Minnie Marshall of Plainview, Wanda Jackson and husband James of Clovis, N.M. and Billie Taylor of Paris, TX; 13 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nannie; both parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
