Mattie Lou Alexander met her Lord and Savior on November 19, 2023. A visitation will be held Friday, December 1, 2023, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, at Bartley Memorial Chapel.  Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, 11 AM at First Assembly of God, Plainview, TX.

Our dear sweet mother was called many names by those that loved her, but the one that sticks out the most was MOM. We thank her for all the love, support, laughter, and discipline she freely gave to us. She will truly be missed by her children and her kindness, love and wisdom will truly be missed by all.

Mattie was a long-time faithful member of United Baptist Church.

Mattie Lou Alexander, age 83, was born to Edward and Ethel Alexander on December 13, 1939, in Cleburne, Texas. Mattie, a life-long resident of Plainview, TX., worked as a Home Health Care Provider, and was also employed by Wayland Baptist University as a domestic worker. Mattie was also employed at Nichols and South Plains Hospital for many years as a Nurse's Aide before doing private sitting until retirement.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters and daughter Sherry Dell Alexander.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a brother, R L Alexander of Plainview, sisters Ora Jean Green of Plainview, and Ethel Williams of Midland, TX, Her loving children Deborah Bundage (Jayrie) of Dallas, TX, Wesley Alexander of Dallas, TX, Mira Alexander of Plainview, TX, and Marty Alexander (Tara) of Pensacola, FL, She has 15 grandchildren and a host of great and great, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
