Graveside services for Mary Evelyn Harris, 86 of Lubbock will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday May 11, 2012 in Resthaven Memorial Park with Bruce Thornton officiating. Services are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. She died Wednesday May 9, 2012 in Lubbock. She was born October 28, 1925 in Caney, Kansas to Leo Wilson and Ilah Laura Bell. She married Elmer David Harris on August 9, 1944 in Lubbock. He died August 6, 1989. She attended Texas Texas University and owned Harris Sewing Center from 1953 to 1988. She was a member of Monterey Church of Christ. Those surviving are Two Sons, Ronnie Harris of Lubbock, Dale Harris and wife Cheryl of Lubbock; Two Daughters, Janelle Thornton and husband Bruce of Lubbock, Mary "Cookie" Green and husband Jim of Florida, One Sister, Virginia A. Swain and husband Bob of Anton; 9 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; and A Special Friend, Charles cox.
