A Going Home Celebration for Martha Jane Turner, 69, of Plainview, will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Plainview, with Rev. Edward Jennings officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Ms. Turner passed from this life on September 11, 2017 in Plainview.

Martha was born on May 24, 1948 in Rotan, Tx to Johnny and Emma (Cook) Turner. She was a member of the New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. Martha spent her days worshipping the Lord and was employed as a chamber maid for many years.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sisters; Era Jean Turner of Plainview, and Carolyn White of Grand Prairie, Tx., and five brothers; Roger Turner and wife Sue of Plainview, Joe Turner and wife Gloria of Plainview, Delbert Turner of Houston, Allen Turner of Plainview, and Darrin Turner and wife Lisa of Plainview and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Johnny and Emma Turner, one brother; Johnny Turner, Jr., and two sisters; Billie Roy Brown and Nina Green.
