Funeral mass for Mario Garcia, Sr. 64 of Plainview will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Raymundo Manriquez officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Garcia died Saturday, August 16, 2014. He was born on April 16, 1950 in Santa Maria, Texas. He was owner of Gordo's Laundry in Plainview. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Garcia of Plainview; 2 sons, Mario Garcia, Jr. and wife Julie and Freddie DeLaRosa and wife Monica all of Plainview; 3 daughters, Christine Martinez and husband Miguel Luevano, Marianna Garcia and husband Adam Cisneros all of Plainview and Ceilia Rodriguez and husband Anthony Lee of Oceanside, Calif.; 2 brothers, Bobby Garcia of Clovis, N.M. and Lupe Garcia of Las Cruces, N.M.; 2 sisters, Crissy Garcia of Lubbock and Olivia Abernathy of Califonia; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sofia Garcia and 2 brothers, Rudy and Laciar Garcia.
