Funeral Mass for Maria E. Rodriguez, 92 of Plainview will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. She died Thursday March 15, 2012 in Lubbock. She was born May 19, 1919 in Campbellton, Texas to Jose Angel and Mariquita Figueroa. She and her family moved to Plainview in 1956. She was a mother, wife, and homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a Guadalupana and Cursillista. She was actively involved in the church community. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Those surviving are four sons, Inocente Rodriguez of Plainview, Gavino Rodriguez and wife Doris of San Marcos, CA, Antonio Rodriguez and wife Leticia of Lubbock and Richard Rodriguez and wife Teresa of Lubbock; four daughters, Mary Quintanilla of San Antonio, Olivia Villa of Cleveland, TX, Estella Gonzales and husband Felix of Plainview and Anna Soliz and husband Paul of Plainview; 25 Grandchildren, 40 Great-Grandchildren, and 6 plus 1 pending Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Rodriguez; one son, Jose Angel "Porky" Rodriguez; one grandchild, Antonio "Tonito" Villa; one son-in-law, Octabiano "Tony" Villa; four brothers and two sisters.
