Funeral Mass for Maria R. Rios, 80 of Hart will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Hart, Texas with Father Raj Malapady officiating. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Rios passed away Wednesday, August 3 in Lubbock. She was born October 8, 1935 in Hebbronville, Texas to Encarnacion and Francisca Rivera. She married Ernesto Rios on July 31, 1954 in Orange Grove, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Ernesto Rios of Hart; 1 son, Ernesto Rios, Jr. of Dumas; 4 daughters, Esperanza R. Martinez and husband Ruperto of Robstown, TX, Juanita R. Velasquez and husband Guadalupe, Norma R. Carrasco and husband Demetrio and Selia R. Barajas and husband Angel all of Hart; 2 brothers, Oscar Rivera of Raymondville, TX and Encarnacion Rivera, Jr. of Edinburg, TX; 2 sisters, Anselma Rivera and Francisca Rivera both of Edinburg, TX; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, twin sister, Lupe Villa and Odelia Rivera and 4 brothers, Jose, Hilario, Genaro and Felix Rivera.
