Funeral mass for Maria Elena Peralez Ferrer, 69 of Kress will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 23 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Ms. Ferrer died Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in Lubbock. She was born January 25, 1946 in Mexico to Jose and Maria DeJesus Peralez. She married Pedro Ferrer July 20, 1965 in Plainview. She is survived by 5 sons, Miguel Ferrer and wife Cynthia of Plainview, Joe Manuel Ferrer and wife Flora of Plainview, Gabriel Ferrer and wife Maria of Oak Cliff, TX, Marcos Jose Ferrer and wife Lily of Pleasant Grove, TX and Jonah Ferrer of Arlington, TX; 6 daughters, Esmeralda Ferrer Banda of San Antonio, Matilda Ferrer Mariscal and husband Juan of Plainview, Rosemary Ferrer of San Antonio, Elsa Ferrer Hernandez and husband Ricardo of Lubbock, Blanca Ferrer of Grand Prairie, TX and Stephanie Ferrer of Lubbock; 1 brother, Jose Peralez; 5 sisters, Fina Mora, Flora Mendoza, Eulalia Ramirez, Carmen Escobar and Elida Peralez; 37 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro, 1 daughter, Mary Helen Ferrer, both parents and 4 brothers, Eusebio, Juan I, Juan II and Victor Peralez.
