Reunited with her husband, Manuel P. Minjarez, Maria A. Minjarez (91) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on February 2, 2026, in Plainview, TX. A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Bartley Memorial Chapel in Plainview, TX. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Hart Cemetery in Hart, TX. Funeral Arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home, Plainview, TX.

Maria was born on November 15, 1934, to Abraham Anchondo and Reynalda Carrasco in Julimes, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married the love of her life, Manuel Minjarez on June 24, 1954.

Maria worked alongside her husband, Manuel, on the farm, cherishing every moment together. An excellent cook who specialized in Con Queso, she possessed a natural gift for hospitality. She devoted herself to life's simple joys: nurturing flowers and gardens, expressing her creativity through painting. Her artistic spirit shone in every corner of her home. A faithful member of St. John's Catholic Church in Hart, Maria treasured her grandchildren above all. She delighted in dressing up for special occasions and held dear her memories of Mexico.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Anchondo and Reynalda Carrasco Minjarez; her husband, Manuel Minjarez; ten sisters and three brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Manuel Minjarez Jr. (Carmen) of Hart, TX, Dagoberto Minjarez of Amarillo, TX, Juan Angel Minjarez of Amarillo, TX, Ramon Minjarez (Nidia) of Hart, TX, and Marisela Olivas (Luis) of Hart, TX; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and three great- great grandchildren and one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews.
