Maria O. Longoria, 67, of Plainview, passed from this life on May 28, 2020. A mass service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 2 nd , 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at Bartley Funeral Home on Monday, June 1 st , 2020 from 6-8 p.m.
Maria was born to Augustine and Maria (Rodriguez) De La Cerda on May 28, 1953 in Olton, Texas. She married Oscar Longoria Sr. on February 4, 1972 in Plainview, Texas.
"As we are remembering you, we picture you sitting in your patio surrounded by your beautiful flowers. It is there you told us all you were very content in your little piece of Heaven.This is how we will picture you always in our hearts and minds forever. And on your birthday, Christ invited you to celebrate with our Father in Heaven. As the angels are rejoicing, we all applaud you with our love and blessings our Beautiful Sweetest Maria."
Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Julia A. Longoria and husband, Jose Rodriguez, of Ft. Worth, Oscar Longoria Jr. and wife, Erika, of Plainview, Arturo Longoria and wife, Nicole Smith, of Tulsa, OK, Ricardo Longoria and wife, Michelle Bedford, of Plainview, and Steven Longoria and spouse, Monalisa Torres, of Plainview, brothers; Tony Perez of Lubbock and Augustine Longoria Jr. and wife, Anita, of Uvalde, TX, sisters; Maria Luisa of Oxnard, CA, Ida Alfaro and husband, Rudy Rangel, of Lubbock, Adelphia Longoria and husband, Dagoberto, of Lubbock, and Rosa Catano and husband Graciel, of Plainview. Maria was blessed with 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Oscar Longoria Sr., parents; Augustine and Maria (Rodriguez) De La Cerda, grandson; Alexandro Rodriguez, brothers; Fortunato De La Cerda, Aldredo De La Cerda, Arturo De La Cerda, Ricardo De La Cerda, and Raul De La Cerda
