Maria Catarina Garza, 94, of Littlefield, TX, formerly of Earth, TX, departed this earthly world on May 6, 2021. A graveside service will be held at Earth Memorial Cemetery on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 11 a.m. A visitation is set for Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Bartley Funeral Home in Plainview, TX from 6-8 p.m.

Maria was born on April 30, 1927 to Jose and Marciella Moreno in Brownsville, Texas. She married Juan Garza in 1945 in Edinberg, Texas. Maria loved tending to her roses and being around her family. She also enjoyed playing bingo and scratch offs. Maria had a full and happy 94 years of life. She was a strong woman who will be extremely missed. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Mary Garza of Littlefield, Texas, Joe Garza of Earth, Texas, Armando Garza of Lubbock, Texas, Guadalupe Guzman of Littlefield, Texas, Morma Garza of Amherst, Texas, Raymond Garza of Lubbock, Texas, Robert Garza and partner, Rosemary Flores, of Plainview, Texas. Maria was blessed with 26 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband; Juan Garza, son; Emmanuel Garza, her parents; Jose and Marciella Moreno, granddaughters; MaryAnn Rubio and Melissa Manzanales, and great granddaughters; Maryjane Rubio and Bianca Manzanales.
