Maedonie (Young) Ray was born on November 1, 1948 in Matador to Marshall and Violet (Brumley) Young. She farmed for Jim Doan in Tulia and she was a Baptist.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Kenneth Ray and wife Sonia of Plainview, Michael Ray and wife Julie of Amarillo, and Deborah Lbsraoui and husband Boushabe of Tulia, four brothers; Jimmy Young and wife Margie of Jonesboro, AR., Willie Young and wife Barbara of West Memphis, AR., Kenneth Young and wife Deb of Nashville, AR., and Marshall Young and wife Barbara of Nashville, AR., and two sisters; Patricia Fairchild and husband Blake of Hot Springs, AR., and Sharon Henderson and wife Delmar of Nashville, AR.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister; Kathy Cowling.
