Lydia Cano Sanchez joined her Lord and Savior on December 22, 2022, at the age of 72 in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by her family.
Visitation/Rosary will be at Bartley Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Funeral Service will be at Saint Pius Catholic Church, O'Donnell, Texas, Friday, December 30, 2022, at 1:30 pm. Graveside will follow the funeral service at O'Donnell Cemetery.
Lydia was born on December 30, 1950, to Jesse Cano, Sr. and Angelita "Cazares" Cano in Karnes City, Karnes County, Texas She attended school in Karnes City, Texas. She was a member of Saint Pius Catholic Church, O'Donnell, Texas
Lydia married the love of her life, Jesus Sanchez on June 4, 1982, in Lubbock Texas.
Lydia worked in the medical field for the State of Texas providing immunizations to kids.
Lydia is survived her children Yvette Rocha and (Hugo Aguirre) from Benbrook, TX; Richard Rocha and (Stella Ramos) from Lubbock, Texas. And her sister Emma Ramos and (David) from Lubbock, Texas. And her brother Jim Cano and (Gracie) form Lubbock, Texas. She has 3 grandchildren Danielle Aguirre; Alyssa Aguirre; and Oscar Aguirre and 1 greatgrandchild Sophie Fuentes.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Cano, Sr and Angelia "Cazares" Cano; and her brother, Jessie Cano Jr.
Our hearts will forever miss and cherish Lydia Sanchez. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, wife and amazing grandmother along with the blessing of being a great-grandmother.
She grew up in O'Donnell, Texas, where her family roots instilled a "Godly Spirited" foundation along with hard working ethics. Her father's hands helped build the town church from the ground up and always raised Lydia to have "God" in her heart and with faith in God all things are possible.
ALL of the moments of Love and laughter will forever help heal our times of need. Her strength and wisdom ignited the lasting firey love for our lives now and the lives to come forever and ever.
We love you always.
