Obituary

Lucille Wilson, 97, of Plainview, passed from this life to be with her Lord on August 26, 2019. Cremation services are provided by Bartley Funeral Home. A private burial will be held on Saturday, August 31 st at Frederick Memorial Cemetery in Frederick, OK.

Lucille was born on July 18, 1922 in Healdton, Oklahoma to Ruth (Streeter) and Howard Ragland Langston, the only child.  She was four years old when they moved to Frederick, Oklahoma where her father had purchased a pharmacy. Lucille graduated from Frederick High School where she was in band and was band queen her freshman year. She was the salutatorian of her graduating class.

On August 4, 1940, she married Robert G. Wilson. They lived in Frederick until 1964 when they moved to Plainview, Texas. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Frederick.

In Plainview she was a member of DAR, Plains Art Association, and many Bridge and Social Clubs. Lucille enjoyed painting, gardening, and playing bridge. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family and especially doing things with her grandkids and great grands.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Dana Russell and husband, David, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Cindy Boudloche and husband, Mike, of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Rob Wilson and wife, Ceil, of Plainview, Texas.

She also leaves behind five grandchildren; Lisa Aynesworth and husband, Chris, Sarah Vollbrecht, Chad Gibbs and wife, Bea, Desi Pharis, Robert C. Wilson, and twelve great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all the care givers that helped Lucille through her journey.
