Funeral services for Leonard Finley, 89 of Plainview will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday July 23, 2012 at Bartley Memorial Chapel with Oscar Chavez officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Finley passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in Plainview. He was born on February 16, 1923 in Lexington, OK to Clarence and Eva Finley. He married Bertha Jernigan on November 1, 1946 in Floydada. He was a salesman for Green Machinery, served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant in the 320th Infantry and a member of Seth Ward Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Bertha of Plainview; one son, Milton Finley and wife Beth of Plainview; two grandsons, Mike Finley of Plainview, Kyle Finley of Lubbock; four nieces, Shirley Durmon of Amarillo, Barbara Gross and husband Mervin of Lubbock, Ann Murphy and husband Edgar of Lubbock, Linda Roberson of Lubbock; one nephew, Dean Jernigan and wife Jeanette of West, TX. He was preceded in death by both parents, four brothers and two sisters.
