In the early morning hours of February 6, 2017, our beloved brother, Kenneth Ray Rich, opened his eyes and took the hand of his Savior and entered into his eternal home. Chapel services for Kenneth, 84, of Plainview will be at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at Bartley Funeral Home with Jason Smith officiating and Don Robertson assisting. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 6:00p.m. – 7:30p.m. at the funeral home. Services are under the personal care and direction of Bartley Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born on June 3, 1932 in Plainview to Clem L. and Irma E. (White) Rich. He graduated from Plainview High School. Kenneth had a longtime career as an insurance agent in Plainview. He lived his entire life in Plainview and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank Area Community Hospice and Plainview Healthcare Center for their love, concern, and care of our brother.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother, Irma Estelle (White) Rich; his step-mother, Lois Rich; his father, Clem L. Rich; his brother, Billy Doyle Rich; his brother-in-law, Ray Don Newman; and his sister-in-law, Mamie Rich. Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Colleen Newman of Dimmitt; brother, Jim Rich and wife Betty of Hereford; sister, Marilyn Edwards and husband, Tex of Plainview and many extended family members. In lieu of flowers, Kenneth's family requests that memorial contributions be made to Area Community Hospice (4300 Olton Rd, Plainview) or American Cancer Society.
