Funeral services for Katherine Elaine Smith, 65 of Austin, Texas, formerly of Plainview, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Bartley Memorial Chapel with Tammy Carter officiating. Services are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Katherine died Friday, September 2, 2016 in Austin, Texas. She was born on January 13, 1951 in Plainview, Texas to Alfred and Olivia Carruthers Smith. She is survived by 1 son, Clarence Jones, Jr.; 1 daughter, Mishea Jones, 3 brothers, Charles Thomas, George Williams and Freddy Savage; 6 grandchildren, DeMario Jones, Brooklynne Smith, Clarance Elijah Jones, Noah A. Jones, Korday Dykema (Jones) and Kreamy White; 1 great grandson, Tameren Smith and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by both parents, 2 brothers, L.D. Williams and Eddie Savage and 1 nephew, Michael Smiley.
