Justin "Jay" Ellena, 40, of Lubbock formerly Plainview, departed from this earthly world on November 24, 2020. Memorial services will be held at Bartley Funeral Home on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 2:30 p.m.

Jay was born on September 22, 1980 to Danny and Debbie Ellena in Plainview, Texas where he grew up. He was known as a very kind and caring man that always had a smile on his face. He loved his family and you could always find him picking on and messing with his sisters. Jay enjoyed barbequing, watching football, collecting ceramic cats, and taking his telescope out and looking at the moon and stars.  Above everything his greatest love was for his children. They were his heart and soul and cherished the times spent with each one of them.

Jay is survived by his mother; Debbie Ellena of Plainview, wife; Brenda Sanchez of Lubbock, his children; Breanna Rodriguez, Kaitlin Ellena, Jordan Rios, Kaylie Hernandez, Jacob Hernandez, and Jase Sanchez, sisters; Jennifer Bradshaw and husband, Robbie, of Plainview and Amanda Johnston Gray of Plainview, his brother; Danny Simoneau of Sherman, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his father; Danny Wayne Ellena and both sets of grandparents; Betty and Bill Gray and Tony and Rosie Ellena.
