Obituary

Funeral services for Judge William "Bill" Paul Hollars, 85 of Plainview will be held at 2:00 pm. Friday January 10, 2014 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Marrow officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
Judge Bill Hollars died on Wednesday January 1, 2014 in Lockney.
He was born on September 9, 1928 in Vernon, Texas to William D. and Mamie Hollars.
He married Dorothy Faye Pool on November 22, 1950 in Plainview.
Judge Hollars served in the Texas National Guard for 6 years. He had worked for Bob Bullock in Austin as their public relations man. He was Hale County Judge for 27 years. He was also the County Tax Assessor from 1978 till 1996. He worked a total of 45 years in the Hale County Courthouse. He was instrumental in getting the War Memorials in Plainview and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by His Wife, Dorothy Faye Hollars of Plainview

1 Brother: Robert H. Hollars and wife Sandra of Plainview
