Juan Soto

Rosary will be Thursday, February 9, 2023; 6-8 pm at Bartley Memorial Chapel in Plainview, Texas.

Mass will be Friday, February 10, 2023; 10:00 am; Bartley Memorial Chapel in Plainview, Texas.  Burial to follow at Plainview Cemetery.

Juan Soto joined his Lord and Savior on January 26, 2023 at the age of 65, surrounded by his loving family.

Juan was born on February 24, 1957 to Cruz and Francisca (Macias) Soto in San Antonio, Texas. He attended school and graduated in Plainview, Texas.

Juan married the love of his life, Guadalupe Martinez, on June 30, 1973 in Plainview, Texas.  He was part of the VFW in Lubbock and was a member of Fuenta De Vida A/G, Tulia, Texas.

Juan served in the Army while serving he was deployed to Vietnam.

He was a people person, he loved his country, Loved dancing.  His family was everything.  Juan will always be remembered selling jewelry in front of Tractor Supply, in his wheelchair, through sun, rain, snow, cold, etc.  he was always there. He will be greatly missed by the people of Plainview.

Those left to cherish Juan's memory are his loving wife: Guadalupe Soto; his children: Margaret (Abel) Bosquez of Plainview; Lee (Clarisa) Martinez of Lubbock; Edward Martinez of San Antonio; Maria (Rodrigo) Montero of Lytle, Texas; Gloria (Juan)Peralta of Lytle, Texas; Leticia (Anthony) Martinez of San Antonio; Monica Soto of San Antonio, Texas; Juan (Isabell) Soto of Blanco, Texas; Joe (Charmel) Soto of San Antonio, Texas; Cruz (Angie) Campos of Plainview; Viviano Soto of San Antonio; Robert (Alicia) Soto of San Antonio; Jason (Suyapa) Soto of Monticello, Arkansas; and Estella (Celso) David of Plainview.   Fifty-three grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  Brother and Sisters: Josie Padron of Houston; Jose Carlos Soto; Tony Soto; and Ernesto Soto.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cruz and Francisca Soto; Sara Jimenez; Maria Vela; grandson Miguel Edward Martinez; great-grandsons Jax Cooper; Jeremy Cooper; Granddaughter: Maria Isabella Montero
