It is with great sadness that we announce that Jose Antonio Rodriguez met his Lord and Savior on September 9, 2025, in Plainview, TX. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Bartley Memorial Chapel from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. A Mass will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Bartley Memorial Chapel at 10:00 AM with Father George Poonely officiating. Interment will follow to Plainview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview.

Jose was celebrated for his quick wit and infectious laughter, as well as his enduring love for music—especially the iconic sounds of the 1960s. He found genuine joy in classic westerns on TV and cheered passionately for his beloved Dallas Cowboys. His enthusiasm for coffee and classic cars left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Rodriguez and Marcela Rodriguez; his son, Manuel Rodriguez; his sisters, Beatrice Rameriz and Grace Villa; and his brother, Joe Frank "Pancho" Rodriguez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Mark Anothy Rodriguez (Monica) of Stephenville, TX, Jose Antonio Rodriguez Jr of Plainview, TX,  Jeffrey Rodriguez of Plainview, TX, and Johnny Angel Rodriquez of Fort Hood, Tx; his daughters, Judy Rodriguez of Fresno, CA, and Mary Ann Rodriguez of Plainview, TX; his sisters, Diana Nivarro of Tennessee, Melinda Rodriguez (Antonio) of Houston, TX, and Marcella Rodriguez of Mexico; his brothers, Leonard Rodriguez of Plainview, TX, Marcello Rodriguez of Plainview, TX, Moses Rodriguez (Maia Delores) of Minnesota, and George Rodriguez (Josie) of NM; Nineteen grandchildren, Twenty nine great-grandchildren, Plus numerous nieces and nephews.
