Jose Fermin Dominguez, 71, passed away on July 19, 2024, in Hale Center, Texas, surrounded by his family. Viewing will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 6:00PM  followed by the Rosary from 6:00 – 8:00PM at St. Theresa Catholic Church of Hale Center, Texas. Mass will be held Friday, July 26, 2024, at 1:00PM at St. Theresa Catholic Church of Hale Center, Texas. Interment will follow at Hale Center Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Bartley Funeral Home, Plainview, Texas.

Jose was born on July 21, 1952, in Pachuca Hidalgo, Mexico to Carmelita Vasquez. He married the love of his life, Estella Flores on August 1, 1980, in Hale Center, Texas.

Jose was a farmer for over 50 years of his life.  He served one year in the Pachuca Hidalgo Army as a young man. He enjoyed going fishing and liked to dance. Whether it was raining or snowing, he would still fire up the grill to feed and spend time with family. Jose was well known for his hard work, kindness, and loved to help people in need. He had a great sense of humor and had the ability to put a smile on anyone's face, especially his grandchildren. Jose was accepting to all and welcomed all into his home.

He is survived by his daughters, Amy and Terri Hernandez, Angie and husband Robert Gonzales, Annie Hernandez, Alvina and Nancy Alvarado and Josie Dominguez, his sons, Oscar and wife Lynna Hernandez, Joseph Dominguez and Jesse Dominguez, his brothers, Natalio Rubio and Augustin Rubio, 32 grandchildren and 79 great-grandchildren

He is proceeded in death his wife, Estella Dominguez, his grandson Jaylen Roberts, and granddaughter, Kammi Hernandez
