It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Johnny Bob Nichols on November 14, 2025, in Petersburg, TX. Arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home and Prairie View Crematory of Plainview, TX.

Johnny was born on February 10, 1969, to Curtis Ray Nichols and Betty Sue Bartley Nichols. He grew up in Floydada. He graduated from Floydada High School in the class of 1987, where he excelled in Math, Texas, and World History. He was also on the football team. Johnny spent most of his adult life working as a ranch hand. He loved riding horses, practicing Karate, playing checkers, cooking homemade chili, and satisfying his sweet tooth.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Ray Nichols and Betty Sue Bartley Nichols; his siblings, Donna Thompson, David Nichols, Anita Pritchett, and Dane Nichols.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Nathan (Lukretia) Nichols of Gorman, TX, Jimmy (Melissa) Nichols of Denver City, TX, Roger (Linda) Nichols of Floydada, TX, Roy (Mi Yeon) Nichols of Tucson, AZ, Jason Nichols, Brian Nichols, and Scott Nichols.
