John L. White, 93, departed this earthly world and entered heaven's gates on November 29, 2021. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on December 4, 2021 at Bartley Memorial Chapel.

John was born on November 25, 1928 in Terrel, Texas to Houston and Janie (Newthon) White. He was raised in Vernon, Texas until he was 13 years older and then moved to Hamlin, Texas. John joined the United States Army where he was sent to San Antonio, Texas in 1975. Two years later he married the love of his life, Frankie Mae Mosley on December 22, 1947 in Anson, Texas. He enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with his family.

John will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife; Frankie White, children; Willie Mae Hunter, Linda Moore (Marvin), Patricia Mae White, Joe Nathan White, and Jimmie Lee White, a sister; Jessie Lee Culpepper. John was blessed with 47 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons; James White and Robert White, and 11 brothers and sisters.
